I did just about the same thing tonight. Dropped it on the way to the garage and I have a dent in the screen. Everything seems to work except for the touch screen which essentially makes the power vision useless.

Did Dynojet give you any kind of break on a replacement unit or are you paying full price? I'm still waiting to hear back from them about my issue.

Instead of relocating and attaching the display unit each time you perform tuning functions, just permanently install it on your handlebars. There is a plethora of information available to you from the ECM and other calculated values from the PV itself, all accessible while you ride. Mine hasn't been off the bike since first installing the PV in early 2011.

I have considered making an extenstion for the data port to place it in front of the tank so that I can remove it easier including the PV cable.

Iclick, you have any problems with water intrusion. I removed mine a couple weeks ago coming home from Cabelas because we were going to get caught in a small storm.

Just got off the phone with Dynojet. They said the the screen isn't repairable but would knock the price for a replacement down to $299. Better than nothing I guess.

No, and I've never removed it in the two years since installing it. When washing the bike I keep water off the gauge area including the PV and GPS, even though the Zumo is waterproof and the PV supposedly water resistant. I carry a small Ziploc bag for the PV as a precaution in case I get caught in rain but I've never had to use it, and when traveling I use a waterproof bike cover when parking overnight at motels. The plan was to slip the bag over the PV display unit and seal it (more or less) at the bottom if necessary, and that should keep it dry. The Zumo will pop off quickly with one release button and I have a waterproof Garmin cover for the cradle, but the PV is screwed into the Ram mount making it a chore to remove. I have the Dynojet quick-release mount for the PV but have not installed it, but if I did use it I'd still have to make plans to keep the two connectors dry. I have one going to the J1850 port and another CANBUS cable going to the AT-100 module, and I could use the Ziploc bag over them.
