Default Tourest Back Rest

Can anyone compare the tourest backrest that fits on a Q/D sissy bar to the tour pack on the glides?
Reason is I am considering a road king but need to be sure I can get the right comfort level for my better half who has had back surgery in the past
Is the tourest at the same height same support etc?
Thanks in advance

I can't compare it to the Tourpak on the glides, or any for that matter. But, I have the Tourest and the wife loves it. Not crazy about the looks of it when solo, but thats why it comes off so easy. Definately a much cheaper route....

i asked a similar question last night. i have looked over the tourest site and the dimentions of a tour-pak. harley does not give the actual dimentions of their sissy bars. so until i go to the dealer to find out the actual high of the standard sissy bar which will be the largest one(depending on year of bike). given the gap that you see with a tourest on a bike and a tour-pak on a bike. to me it is looking like a tour -pak will sit higher up the back by about 3 or 4 inches. and will come closer to the armpit then the tourest.
this is based on the fact that the tour-pak has an overall height of 11 inches. and the main pad is mounted to the top of the trunk. from what i can figure on my own the basic padded area is about the same on both products. and the curve of the arms are thinner on the tourest which might actually be a plus given the arms are not as bulky as the harley tour-pak back rests and could give more freedom of movement. Also the guy that made this has a back ground in padding. and the thickness seems to be about the same on both. my wife has seen this on there site and said she thinks she would be very happy with a tourest. all of my thought are based off of a 2012 sg with a 4 point docking system.

IMO im really leaning towards the tourest. reasons are cost number 1. easy of storage when not in use. the weight will be alot less in the end. im not needing the extra cargo space and the wife has her own bike this is just something to use instead of taking the truck all the time when 2 bikes wouldnt be needed for the ocassion.
