Thinking about one for my 01 Road King. Anybody have any leads as to where a person could pick one up or a company that makes them without raping a wallet? After all if I had the money I would have a newer bike with a 6 gallon tank. And yes I am taking into consideration the cost of paint. Tried a Google search with few results. Anyway would like 6 to 7 gallons at least.
Mike, I have a recent 6 gallon tank on my 1990 Glide. There are a few threads on HDF about the mod. It gives a little over 6 gallons. They can be bought very cheaply, with a little patient shopping, on Ebay, where I got the tank and all the other parts I needed.
An alternative is to get your current tank expanded by Viigas, or buy a Fat Boy tank from JP Cycles. As for custom tanks, they are eye-wateringly expensive! Daytec, RWD and FatKatz come to mind. Should give you some homework.....

Go to the WTB section here on this Forum and put in what you want. I saw one either in the for sale on here or a craigslist. ?????

Do you know how much Viigas charges to make a 2007 5 gal into their 6.2 gal?? Are they still in biz? I tried to go to their site, but got malware warnings, went further and it turns out the site is messed up for awhile now.....
Mike, I referred to records I made a couple of years ago, when looking into the very same subject, however I have just checked their website and it does seem to in trouble at present! How much? Thick end of a thousand dollars, although IIRC that included repainting. I have just remembered that HDF sponsor Motorcycle Metal has a custom tank, similar to FatKatz, although I suspect that will be over a grand in the raw metal.
