I don't know anybody that has never said that they would like to extend some form of violence or another to a person that has done something stupid or confrontational. They may be out there, but almost every single person I have known has never followed through with it. It is just a rhetorical statement. Lighten up people.
Well, NHTSA stats for 2011 (don't think '12 stats are out yet) state that FL has the second highest fatality rate for motorcyclist across the U.S., TX is #1.
Well that sucks to know.
I usually let off the gas and keep an eye on my mirror. I know hitting the brake just pisses them off, like they need more stuff to set them off. Sane people don't tailgate and surely not bikes.
after a particularly bad weekend (lots of stop sign/red light runners)here in Texas, I told my squeeze I was thinkin about carrying my nine and shooting a few of them ,She looked me straight in the face anD said why youll just run outta bullets......................
Wow, glad I don't live in FL. Too many folks wish to pull pistols for nothing.
Yeah, but almost no one ever actually does it. The few who have make headlines but FL has issued over a million concealed weapons licenses and while it's something to keep in mind, the odds of someone randomly shooting you is in the thousandths of one percent. Of course, those odds go way up if you're the aggressor and you approach someone's car in a threatening manner. Then they can claim self defense when they shoot you and will probably walk without being charged.
As for the nut, bolt, change, rocks, slugs throwing (again), we used to do that $hit when we were kids riding and it NEVER did anything but escalate the situation. If you weren't a rider and someone threw metal bolts at your 20 or 40 or 60 thousand dollar vehicle, would YOU back off? Not to mention that everyone has a video camera on their phone to record your antics for later review by the police.
My take on this situation would be -
Dress like a pirate, not a poser! Nobody screws with a pirate! AYEEEE!!!
wtf dude? pirates don't go 'ayeee'... that would be cajun.
here, let me fix it for you: nobody screws with a pirate! ARRRRRRR!!!

not to mention that once that nut, bolt, etc. stops bouncing, it'll just be lying there in the road waiting for my wife to drive by on her way to work and the car in front will kick it up and KEEERACK... there goes the windshield. thanks, but no thanks. keep your **** in your pockets please.

I know what you mean. I often say I carry an extra mag cuz 6 shots ain't enough.. Now take it easy gun control advocates, I'm just kidding. Most of us gun owners will joke around but 99.9% of us will never need to let anyone know we carry. Some a-holes out there do test your metal though .
