I know there are probably several post already on aftermarket seats but I figured I would start a new one. I on a 2010 Electra glide classic with a stock seat. After about 1 1/2 hours or so my *** tends to go numb. Any recommendations on a better seat that I can still use my back rest with???

I have been a fan of mustang for years. Had a mustang on every bike Ive owned. I love them. There are plenty of choices out there but for my money mustang is the way to go but to each there own. I will say they are a little hard for the fisrt 500 or so then they start to take your shape.
I have the Sundowner seat. For me, it is far more comfortable than the stock seat. More important, my wife loves it hands down over the stock seat. Beware, it is a deeper bucket and pushes you forward, which creates more room for the passenger.
I have to say, the very first thing I changed on my 04 was the seat, I got. a mustang solo seat and loved it.
on my 2007 road king police, the second owner put a Harley 2 up touring seat on it, 3 k miles later, I love it, I'm not even considering replacing it.

yes it is an ugly seat and in time when I mod the bike out I will get a nice solo set up, but for comfort I will say after many 400 and 500 mile days, I love this seat.
there is an adjustable backrest, moves up and down, front and back and is awesome.
I have several bad discs, degenerated DSC disease, and spinal arthritis so for me to endorse a seat you know it is comfortable.
the mustang was very nice, but did take some time to break it in, after that it was sweet, but nothing has been as comfy as this ugly 2 up Harley seat.
Respectfully, seats are a matter of personal preference. Many people swear by Mean City Cycles, that seat did nothing for me. Many people swear that Corbins are too stiff, I love 'em.
Find someplace that'll let you test many different brands.
Tried the Sundowner and it worked okay, but the wife didn't care for it and she was the reason I bought it in the first place. These are some old pics but you get the idea.
My favorite so far is the Harley Hammock seat, the cost is a little high but I should have bought this first instead of trying some other cheaper brands first.
You never know whats going to be good for you until you test ride on one. Before you spend big bucks on a seat take advantage of the Harley demo seats. Doesn't cost a thing to try them out.
I have the Harley Hammock Seat. I can sit on it all day long with no problems. Like you the stock seat became very uncomfortble after an hour. The Hammock may not be for you but it will not cost a thing to try one out. Check um out.
