I just carry a Slime compressor and the slime liquid as well as some of the old rope style plugs with the adhesive. The object is to get your butt off the side of the road and to your destination without any hassle. The slime is ok but once in a while you pick up something a bit larger. I'll use the liquid slime if it,s a tiny leak but prefer the plugs for a large nail hole or bigger.
I have never lost a plug. Get it fixed or replaced when you can.
I know a lot of people say not to use either but when you get a flat alongside the road 40 miles from nowhere at O dark thirty those folks won't be there to get you going.
Just used mine for the first time last weekend after it being in my bike 4 1/2 years. I was very impressed and even though it was on a bud's tire I felt safe it would hold perfect for the 130 miles we needed to go. and only $65 for everything needed less a pair of pliers.

That's what I use when in a trip. Instead of the air pump, I use 4 bottles of CO˛. Never needed it.
In the picture, the Stop and Go compressor appears to have a straight valve connector. Is it just the picture? I would think that is very difficult to use on a Harley.
