I took the lid off my King/standard tour pack and installed it on my chopped - gave the wife the same backrest and short arm rest as the standard - really works great

I saw a bike in Kerrville that had a setup like that. I thought it looked really cool. Asked the wife but she wanted to stick with the chopped backrest. Says we went to the trouble of lowering the bike including new lower seat so she wanted to keep the low profile. I understand where she is going with the style. Iam not going to rock the boat, got a great wife who likes to ride and doesn't mind the $$ spent. Besides I'm hoping with her having a hand in the bike, in a year or so I want to pass the bike to her and I'll get another!
Love the looks of your chopped tourpak and you're going to wonder how you got along without it. The wife will find it a lot more convenient to use than the bags.

Kerville Texas - been awhile since I have heard that name... Went to High school in Austin back in 65-68.. Anyway,, little confused... do you run a king/standard pac ???? The lid from my stock FLHTCI tour pack is the exact same size as the Chopped pack - just that it is drilled to accept the full back rest for the passanger... My chopped pack lid is now on my stock/King pack in storage.. We already had the Full Corbin treatment and when my wife saw the stock back rest on the Chopped pack - well, there was not choice in her mind as to what she wanted to lean against for a week at a time.. The Chopped pack really lends it self to the Low clean look of the bike and in my opinion looks 100% {more cool / better} then the full size pack..
With my ole stripped down '73flh I never liked the looks of the saddlebags and all, Now I could'nt imagine going anywhere without. Plus all my Buds would'nt have anywhere to put their crap.[sm=sigh.gif]
That's a great idea, sort of like having your cake and eating it too. So in order to use the king backrest on a chopped pack you have to use a king tour packlid on the chopped pack? Is that correct? Will Harley sell me a chopped pack with the king lid? If not how much does the king lid cost?
