Default Tire balancing

I need a new rear 17" tire on my street glide. Can I get away without balancing it?
I want the dyna beads but no one in my area sales them. Don't want weights on my rim either.

You can always try it out without weights. But it's alot of work to go thru twice, just to balance it. If you concerned about appearance, most stick on weights are silver and blend in, but if your rim is black, just hit the weights with black spray paint before you stick them on. How do you know how much of those beads you'll need to balance your tire?. You can get a Harbor Freight balancer for under $50.,,

I have dyna beads in stock along with the applicator and bottle if you need them. I would do the beads. I avhe run tires without balancing and have never had an issue but might as well add the beads as the ride is much smoother. I run Dyna beads in all of my bikes. Great tire life and a super smooth ride.

Alot of wheels get by with no balancing. Actually as tire wear the balance can change. Another option is Ride-on tire sealant. Not only does it balance and maintain balance throughout the life of the tire it also is proported to give the added security of plugging punctures.

It can be put into your tire at anytime.

I doubt you would ever notice the difference from being balanced to nothing at all... all the way up to the far right side of your speedometer.

don't worry about it; try it and if it need something put in dyna beads or ride-on later.

Dyna Beads work great and have 17000 miles on my American Elites with plenty of tread left.

just started changing my own tires. went with dyna beads when I changed the front tire and they seem to work. I did check the balance of the wheel before I installed and it was ok and the installed the tire and checked the balance and again there were no heavy spots. went ahead and added 1 oz of dyna beads. I would suggest that you install the dyna beads if you use them while the tire is broken down and not through the valve stem. can be done but a PIA.....

I have dyna beads in my tires now. Problem is I'm getting a new tire installed after work and I nobody local carries the head. It's an aftermarket renegade wheel. Don't want weights on my chrome wheel. I'll try it with out weights. See if I notice a difference.
1 questions: can I add dyna beads later will the wheel is on the bike?
