I try to stay around 4500 for changes, but in the case you described, I'd run it...no question. I've, had two of my 3000+ trips this year take me over 5k on oil and I never hesitated. Last thing you want to do when on a trip away from home is stop for minor maintenance or even worse, stop for unnecessary major work. Having something like that turn into a delay and unplanned expense can FUAR any trip. Save any non-emergency work till ya get home IMHO.

That being said, if I was pushing 6500 on oil or needed more then 500 or 600 miles after a tire started showing wear bars, I'd stop for a day or so to do some upkeep.

Ride safe, and enjoy.

Just check the oil level add as needed keep riding until you get back it should be fine. On long rides oil can last lot longer then stop n go unless extremely hot weather.

Amsoil only has one additive more than Mobil 1. Amsoil is more expensive, have to pay for all the pyramid sales scams.
Anyway, Id run the trip and change it when you get back. If we can run Mobile 1 in our aircraft and go over our change intervals, Im sure you will be just fine.
As others have said, running highway miles is better for the engine than stop and go, and starting the engine over and over like when your bar hopping.
Now to gain your trust in your oil, after your trip take a sample of your oil and send it in for analysis. I feel you will be surprised how much more your oil could have gone. I run Mobile 1 Extended performance in my Saturn SL and only change it once a year no matter what mileage I run. Our Cessna is running Mobile 1 and has passed it's first TBO (time before overhaul) with flying colors. I know of others who are on their third time passed TBO. Oh, and by the way, our TBO is 2,400 hours of use.
I think you will be just fine to go on that trip, then continue to ride it when you get home till you have a few minutes to change it. But please get the sample sent in so I can see you back on here bragging how the oil was still good.
Have a safe and fun trip.
