Exclamation Tron Chaser???

Have 07 Ultra Classic. Every once in a while loose speedo and sometimes tach. Sometimes both at same time but very intermittent. Also speakers cut off at various intervals. If I switch speaker selector they come back on. Sometimes for short time sometimes longer. But every-time, when I change the speaker selection they come back on. If I shut down and start back up they work come right up and the whole evolution starts all over again. Maybe related maybe not, but yesterday ride was uneventful until pulled off freeway and came to a stop bike tried to die. Feathered it through the intersection and to garage where it died on approach. Opened garage and bike started right back up and into garage. Can see no visible loose wire or grounds. IDEAS???

I have had a similar, not exact problem recently. The speedometer would suddenly drop to zero. The AVC for the HK radio would kick in decreasing the speaker volume. In my most recent event, the bike died as I pulled to the shoulder of the road. What I have found is that when I recycle the ignition switch off and back on with some deliberation, the problem goes away. I suspect that when I turned on the ignition switch that it did not fully engage. Something on the order of very intermittent. So, now when I turn the ignition switch to "ON" I make sure that it is a full and deliberate movement.

Excessive vibration from worn out wheel bearings will wreak havoc on your fairing electronics/gauges.

Just food for thought if all else fails
