Tailbone Trouble? In Here, Quick!
A little over a year ago I fell about four feet to the ground and landed hard on my butt. I injured my tailbone. X-rays showed no fractures and chiropractic adjustments didn't help. My primary care doc said there was nothing that could be done; it may get better, it may not. It didn't.
I do a lot of long distance riding, and my tailbone has been killing me, even a year later. It has been taking a lot of the joy out of my riding. I can't honestly say I've considered giving up the bike... but I can say that after thirty minutes in the saddle, I was hurting. By the end of a full day's ride, I was in agony...
Until I requested the Airhawk-R for Father's Day. It is a newer model Airhawk with a void down the center of the air bladder. It is designed to take pressure off the tailbone, prostate, and *******. And it works! I put 500 miles on yesterday and today and I can ride tank to tank without any tailbone pain! And, normally I take two Aleve before starting out and every four hours while riding. I didn't take any either day, and felt great.
An added bonus is the mesh around the perimeter of the Airhawk's cover. It flows air through the cushion, so your butt stays cool... I didn't realize how well that worked until I stopped for gas and stayed on the bike while fueling. My butt started getting hot and sweaty but as soon as I started riding again it was perfect.
I have nothing to gain by recommending this product other than the hope of helping someone else who is hurting like I was.
