I still maintain that if it's performance you are after, build your own motor.

If it's the cool factor and bragging rights about having a SE 110" motor, then you already have your answer.

It's about performance and reliability. I plan on keeping this bike for quite a while. I was just a little worried about the mileage on my current engine and didnt want to go big bore if it was gonna crap out on me after a few thousand more miles.

If you are worrying about reliability? Do a 103 on your engine. That would be dead nuts reliable. A nice street 107 would crush a stock CVO, BTW. The ONLY HiPO part on that whole engine are the heads. Even the cam set is an EPA approved set of 255s.

I cannot think of an engine with WORSE reliability than a 2009 110CVO.... except for a 2008 CVO. Dude, just say NO. You could REALLY regret this move later.

Dude, that engine has had all kinds of things 'recalled' from the heads, to the cylinders, etc. It IS a POS engine. And... with a 110, it will be next to impossible to increase the cubic inches. Look in the SE catalog... all of those kits will say NOT to be used with a 110. Reason being the 110s still use an or-ring to seal the bottom of the cylinder. THAT o-ring buts right next to the cylinder studs and one cannot easily seal that up when the cases are bored larger. This year CVO even had issues with the cylinder liner moving inside of the cylinder itself.

I, myself, would NEVER do this. If it was like a 2012 CVO, maybe. But a 2009 CVO, no way Jose!!!!! I also realize that like 1 out of 100 of these engines are OK. But... how is YOUR luck? I'd pass..... I have nothing in this either. I just wish to tell you what is pretty well known. A couple years ago, places like Flea Bay was flooded with 110 heads. Where do you think those came from? Think about it, OK?
