Here are the Harley Davidson batwing bars in black. I used the same clutch cable and brake line. The fairing mirrors could be seen though the bottom 1/2 of it. These bars should be on the street glide from the factory. 1 of the best improvements I have done. I also didn't add wire extensions on either. Just had to reroute the wires in the fairing

if you buy the harley batwing bars they have an entire kit with all the new cables that you need. you are going to need atleast a +4 on the clutch and they have a +2 brake cable i believe in the "kit". from what i have seen/read or been told when going with the harley bars you are going to have to change your cables. now im not saying you have to im saying its a very good idea that you do better then finding out later you was told wrong. i have wo578 10" bagger bars on my bike. im glad i changed everything over while i had it all apart.
also going with 12 inch bars you are going to have to lengthen you wiring with 12 inch bars there is no way around it. given the lenght of cable left over on my internal wired 10's anyone who says you wont have to lengthen the wiring im gonna have to call bs.
as to the question/comment about movement in the bars. its a good idea to put the poly bushing in while you have it apart and you wont get the movement or excess vibration. they sell them at the dealer. not sure about the part number. before buying these harley batwing bar i would sit on a bike with them on there i personally think they feel like im pushing a wheelbarrow. the wrist angle on them to me is a little hinky thats why i went with wild 1's. personaly choice.

also if you plan to do this yourself. make sure to take your time. anything you do not buy from the dealer and are not able to do yourself. more often then not there policy is your are screwed the dealer will not install parts you did not buy from them so keep it in mind. especially when it comes to the wiring. and i see it never really get mentioned but total cost of changing out your bars is going to be $1200 +. so dont be suprised if you go above that. i just did mine 3 weeks ago and end cost was $1500 but i used alot of aftermarket stuff like levers and mirrors. and i did everything but the wiring myself. your fairing mirrors are useless. i highly recommend 86ing them. i went with some russ westermont mirrors and i can see 300 times better then i ever could with the stock mirrors.

in the end this is my personal opinion but not extending your wiring or cables is a bad idea especially with 12" bars. 10" bars you can get away with it but not with 12" just get everything and do it right the first time because the wiring gets very tight. and i personally would never stretch the wire more then i have it now with 10" bars

I have the 12" Paul Yaffe Monkey Bars and I did not have to change my brake line. I did have to do the extended clutch though and the obvious extended wiring.

With my 12" Paul Yaffe bars I did not have to go to the bar mounted mirrors. I have the stock fairing mirrors and they work perfectly. If you go with the 10" then yes you have to change up and go with the bars mounted mirrors. Anything 12" or higher you can use the fairing mirrors though from what I have noticed.

I have the wo577 on my bike now and 40* wrist angle is not much different than stock 42* I was hoping it would be cause I like the look of the wo577 12.5 inch bars, The 577 are 36.5 width where the batwing bars are 35 " also the 577 have a 11 of pullback where the hd bars have minimal which is what I am after less wrist angle and pullback. Not sayin the wild ones are not great bars they are just not for me 3500 miles with them and I just don't like the 40* wrist angle. I will be selling soon.
I think the Batwing bars look great and are what I am looking for I however would like to compare them with yaffe original apes.
Thanks guys who posted pics the bikes look great.
As far as cables go they are plus 6 in length and you donot have to extend the wiring I did not with the 12.5 you simply reroute the wire to under the radio there is plenty of wire.

I have the same set up as Norris above. I did change my cables and lines so they could be routed correctly. I did not change the mirrors. I like the Fairing mirrors and I can see fine out of them. Just have to move my head a bit. Some time to get used to but you will. If you go withthe black, may I suggest to change your levers also to black. Looks nice that way
