HELP! Need to find a good horn for my 2008 UC, I mounted the lenale fan and had to lose the factory horn mounting location. I don't like the lenale suggestion to move the factory horn to the mid-frame position and I wanted a better horn anyway. Been trying to order the "hidden horns" and have had my order cancelled by 3 different vendors, apparently the hidden horns have been discontinued for whatever reason. What other options are out there? Mounting locations?
I had the lenale fan also and went with the hidden airhorns, love the airhorns but I have upgraded the lenale to Jasons FCS cooling system better product and you can leave your existing horn in its original location. So now I have my stock horn and hidden airhorns and it diffently gets your attention.
I'd find a freeway blaster or some other condensed, 1 piece air horn and mount it either on the frame above the regulator or behind the left rear bag. Someone had a link to a really cheap horn here the other day that was on amazon. Several people ordered it and it was loud and cheap.
I tried mounting the stock horn on the front frame and ended up with a ding in my front fender. At full suspension compression there is apparently almost zero clearance there!
If I were you, I would remove and sell your Lenale cooler. Then purchase Jason Wards FCS then you can mount your stock horn in front of it. Problem solved and you will have a more effective cooler.
Since the photo below was taken, I have removed those chrome blocks around the spark plugs. There is a channel there through to the other side of the motor that the cooling fans need to blow air through:

I would love to have the FCS, waited a full riding season and most of last winter before I gave up and ordered the lenale, couldn't afford another season without a cooling fan, with triple digit temps here and lots of city riding I had to get something and the FCS fans were just not in stock. As my luck would have it, about 3 months after I purchased and mounted the lenale, the FCS was back in stock and my riding buddy got one for his new Ultra. Have considered selling the lenale and ordering the FCS, but as my luck would have it, the FCS are out of stock again!
Are you talking about this; FIAMM 72112 Freeway Blaster Horn?
Ordered one myself and couldn't tell a lot of difference in it and the stock horn... Ended up returning to stock and putting the 72112 back in the package...
