I always have my breathable motorcycle specific Frogg Togg Road TOAD rain suit ready in the saddle bags and my Desert Doggs Rain lowers on my crash guards help a lot .
Just got a new rain suit and waterproof gloves yesterday for my trip as I know I'm gonna get wet. Getting rained on is not a big deal unless you don't have the right gear.
I live in Florida, You ride much in the summer you will get wet. It rains EVERY day. It is mostly small storms a few miles wide. you get dreanched come out of it and dry off in 30 min. or so of riding. Then start all over again. It's good to clean the bugs off the windshield. (cools you off too)
I'm waterproof. Sometimes I don't even bother with my rain gear. As hot as it is when the rain stops I dry pretty quickly. IF it stops that is.... My biggest concern is being able to see.
Like honestbob, I too am in Florida. Summer rain every afternoon. I ride the bridge across Tampa Bay for work so, no place to pull over. I carry rain gear in the bags cause I already know I'm gonna get wet. Slow down, ride safe!
