Road King windshield bag almost fell off
The windshield bag on my 07 RKC was loose. Looking at it I saw that there is a metal clip held to the bike by a bolt/ nut set up. The leather bag is held to the metal clip by two flimsy looking rivet type fasteners and one was broken. If the other one would have broken also the bag would have fallen off. I normally ride with a pair of gloves, cell phone, garage door opener and other items in the bag so loosing it in traffic would not be good. To fix it I drilled out the one unbroken fastener, and used two bigger/ heavier rivets to fasten the bag to the clip. I then put a washer between the bag and the nut to get rid of some slop in the set up. It is now solid and hopefully it will stay that way. You may want to check the two fasteners on your windshield bag to make sure they are not broke

That's a good heads-up Sarge. What you did, in conjunction with some JB Weld, would make the repair permanent and worry free. Glad you found it before the whole damn thing fell off.
