I'll have to bow out of this thread now, I put 14" apes on mine so I don't think it really retains the classic look anymore. It would look better with a set of 518's or the HD fatbar, but oh man these are comfy.
I know it's not a Road King Clasic. But here's my contribution to creating a classic from a Street Glide. I'm trying to recreate the look of an old FLH 1200, but I admit it looks mostly like a police motorcycle (which isn't a bad thing either).
Although I really don't belong in this thread, our friend Whiskers has asked me to post a few pictures of my version of a classic, with particular focus on the bags. They're custom-made by Osprey; I specified the exact conchos I wanted, their placement, the fringe and its length, the color of the piping around the lid, the placement of the studs, and the Springer-look of the bag cover. The inside of the bags are reinforced, as is the lid. The price: $650 plus shipping, which includes a set of EasyBrackets. I'd be happy to answer any questions. The bike is an '06 FLSTCI I've had since new, and it had its 35,000 mile service last week. The bars are Chubby 0518s. Also, since this was taken I've replaced the Lindby bar (an impulse buy) with the nostalgic classic engine guard. Here you go:

Love the bags, but that is one sweet seat. Did they make that as well?

Thanks. The seat is a Corbin dual-tour. I gave it to a local seat upholsterer, along with the backrest and the windshield bag, and he was able to match the piping on the saddlebags. The tank piece, which is also the same color, came off a '97 Springer.
Thanks for posting the pictures of your beautiful bike, Old. You've done some incredible work on it and I know my friends here on this tread will appreciate it.

That looks really good, and unlike any other Street Glide I've ever seen. Nice job! It definitely fits the theme of the thread.
Somewhat off topic, but I dropped in a pair of Big City Thunder Monster Baffles on Saturday. It was a pretty painless procedure and only skinned on knuckle trying to get the tails off to do the drilling.
One note, due to the curve at the end of the headpipe on the left side where it rolls over the primary I wasn't able to slip the baffles in as deep as I'd hoped, which meant the placement of the set screw forced me to pull the tail pipes back off a little bit...no big deal, just sayin'.
I didn't put any road miles on her, but the tone of the exhaust with the baffles in was very pleasant. I love my fishtails, but they have a bit of a deeper tone now, not quite as "tinny" especially when I release the throttle at about 2,500 rpm.
