I'll have to bow out of this thread now, I put 14" apes on mine so I don't think it really retains the classic look anymore. It would look better with a set of 518's or the HD fatbar, but oh man these are comfy.
great looking bike. i know what you mean about the bars. i'm doing a classic look on my 2006 flhri. but ive got 14 inch apes as well. they just feel right.

Thanks for the new link, Hot. Interesting, he uses velcro to anchor them...wonder how well they hold up. Everybody here thinks you ought to buy a set and let us know how they work.
