(2) saddlebag guards
(3) solo seat/rack
(4) front fender bits
(5) handlebar bits
(6) front forks
(7) engine bits
(8) fringe

Identifying the engine chrome bits from pictures that everyone has posted seems the most difficult... obviously because they tend to be small.
DID SOMEONE SAY FRINGE?!

Theres many things you can do. Get a book showing older correct restorations of '50's-early '70's FLs and FLHs and you will have all the inspiration you need. Most of those parts you see on older FLs are almost still in production today.

Enjoy it!

Also I plan on listing part numbers for each picture in my album here. It helps oyut when someone needs a certain part number.

Good list. #1 on your list has been carried out even farther on my Classic. I have the visors on all my lights (5 in front and 3 in the rear). They speak volumes. As for fringe... I liked it for a while but removed it from my clutch and brake levers and all you can see now is two tiny strips at the bottom back of the front fender. Sometimes less is more.

Being new to Harleys, I'm finding it difficult to identify what chrome bits everyone on this thread has installed. Harley's parts website isn't as helpful as I'd like since a part's application on the bike, isn't always clear. I would find it extremely helpful if people wouldn't mind listing the various parts that have been replaced or augmented with chrome parts.
Hey Nirvana, welcome to the second most expensive hobby on the planet (after marriage, of course)....
Like you, I spent hours (& hours) researching stuff for my 2010 RKC (this thread was enormously helpful). I also spent hours at my local dealer, sitting beside a stock RKC with the parts catalog in my lap, deciding what to swap out & add (the staff was very patient with me).
Pics of my bike are on page 69 of this thread (post # 683).
Good Luck!

stephenr,
Un-freaking-believable. Just sayin'; Harley Davidson owes you somethin' for darn free. Good thing that most of this is a swap and not just added or your bike would weigh 2,000 pounds. Very nice to have the entire custom catalog here in one place.

stephenr928,

Hmmm. What have I gotten myself into?

That's quite a list. It is what I was hoping to find for some guidance though. Thanks so much for compiling it.

By the way, I think children are actually the most expensive hobby

Default Classic Look

Hello, I think your list is pretty thorough. The cheaper things I've added were the headlight visors, concho and leather accessories. The more expensive additions were, avon 'gangster' whitewalls, lowered front fender, hi/lo rider air ride in back, chubby beach bars, solo seat and saddlebag covers from c & c .
