This is a 2013, I didnt want a run of the mill vivid black RKC so I had Scarecrow change one pinstripe to purple and do some purple and silver scroll work on it.We really like it
Well 26k into my 2007 Ultra Classic - and I made the mistake of walking in to the local stealer.
I had to walk by the new models to get to the parts counter and buy some oil, seals and a filter.. And started looking at the touring bikes.
I noticed a plethora of different Glides.. Give or take, they are all pretty much the same bike with a few different features between them (and several thousand dollars hehe).. I liked the Limited - so when I started talking to the salesman, the limited means.. Limited Colors, worthless hand warmers, fancy guages (that probably cost them an extra dollar per instrument).
So - then I started looking at the Ultra Classic - and it was availalbe in my favorite color (White Pearl) - and you could get the missing security/abs as an option. They could keep their pretty gauges and worthless (in my experience) handwarmers - and the chrome ugly wheels. Buy some Thunderstars - a painted inner fairing - and still be in the ball park.
Well I rode one - and The new frame is really nice and the 103 is sweet. So I'm almost sold - then I asked them what they would give me as a trade in... Of course they tried to steal it.. Game over. I guess it's off to Craiglist and see if I can sell it as is - otherwise I am going to remove every single chrome goody I put on the 2007, the V&H Pipes, The Tuner - all the braided cables, Chrome inner primary, Chrome Everything - and sell them here or on Ebay (To include the Corbin Seat) - and let them steal the stripped down 07.. Hell I might even pull the Tour Pack. If they want a 10k Ultraglide - I'll give them one.
