I always wondered how my RK would look with leather saddlebags.

Road Star: There's an long time member here named Sol who has a police bike with leather saddlebags. I found a link to a couple pictures for you. IMO, Sol's bike looks great with leather.

We need to see more pictures of your bike, my friend. From what I can see of it, you've done some great work to it. Not that it matters to those who appreciate it but is it a RK or Deluxe?
Heres my 2006 RKC. I too am a fan of the old school look. My other bike is a 98 softail and I put 36" beach bars on it which instantly changed the look and reminded me of a older FLH panhead. My RKC looks the same now as it does in the pictures but now the spoked wheels are powder coated black with retro replica firestone tires 5". I am really loving the look of it now and as far as aesthetics go I think its complete. The engine could use a little tweaking. First 2 pictures are the 98 softail and the other 2 are the RKC.
*2006 RKC*
-burly slammer kit 2" drop front 2" drop rear
-10" mini apes
-Big sucker intake
-classic style front rotors(hate the stock sun star rotors)
- Fullsac true duals conversion
-33" fishtails
-PC3 USB w/ stage 1 ECM
-Front fender rail/guard(not in picture)
-Le pera bare bones seat w/ mustang rear fender bib.
-Avon grips
-black leather lever covers(stitched)
-Chrome passenger floor board covers

Sweet bikes. How are the Howard Horns holding up for you? I've heard different opinions on their durability (with all the motor shaking). Ride safe.
Thought I'd posted mine in this thread but it appears not!
'12 RKC, bought by me as an ex-dealership demonstrator when it was 12 months old.
I've added the following parts since then with the aim of enhancing the classic look:
*Samson Silver Bullet slip on mufflers
*Wild One WO518 Chubby Road King 2 handlebars
*Cee Bailey windshield
*Mustang Vintage Solo seat
*Matching Mustang fender bib
*HD headlamp & passing lamp visors
*HD fork mounted wind deflectors
*Custom Chrome layback licence plate mount
*HD rear fender mudflap
Really sober and classy. 2 questions please:
Is the chubby OK while riding in cities? I mean is there a difference in handling in traffic jams, is it wider than the stock bar?
To your knowledge does the layback license plate from Customchrome matches the French plate size? (Or be kind to display the part number if you have it so that I can check)
Many thanks and a happy new year!
