Really sober and classy. 2 questions please:
Is the chubby OK while riding in cities? I mean is there a difference in handling in traffic jams, is it wider than the stock bar?
To your knowledge does the layback license plate from Customchrome matches the French plate size? (Or be kind to display the part number if you have it so that I can check)
Many thanks and a happy new year!
Hi Orb,
Thanks for the comments; much appreciated and a Happy New Year to you too :-)
The WO518 bars are a total transformation in terms of comfort for me. They are wider than the stock ones but not stupidly so. There is a lot more pullback however, which sits me in a really comfortable position. For both city and open road riding they are superb. It's like being in a favourite armchair! I'd totally recommend them, but get the option to try them out if you get chance as everyone is built differently.
From memory the licence plate mount is 7.25 x 4.25 inches. It's part no 13199 in the CC catalogue.
Let me know if you need any more help.
Cheers.
M.

My 03 RK. Traded for an 09 Electra. This was a great bike . The only thing I wish I had the baaffles in the fishtails. Gave me a headache without ear plugs in. Had every piece of the 03 100th badging including the handlebar tips. Nice bike. only had 34km on it
I have since sold the softail but I put about 12k miles on it in a couple years with the beach bars and loved them. Took a trip from NJ to outer banks NC one summer and had my passenger pillion with sissy bar and had my double packs one the seat and the fender. With that setup and the highway pegs it was like sitting in a Lazy Boy. Very comfortable position and ended up doing the return trip in 1 day. about a 7 hr trip and was loving every minute. Took some getting used to when I first installed them but after that it was smooth sailing.
I changed out my leather bags for hard bags went to cobra dual header added v&h wide ovals added pinstrip on front fender side covers and bags mid frame chrome covers bad lander seat lay down plate ipod / handel bar speakers 16 inch tinted windshield removed the passenger floor boards engine mild cam upgrade gear drive cam gear modified air cleaner (still retains stock look) 0.05 shaved heads bike has been dropped 2 inches in the rear 11/2 inches in the front polished forks
