2>4.

Did they use your stock cables or change to longer ones? Reason I ask is because I have the heritage style bars and like them, but when I take the fairing off and run solo they do not look as good. I was considering the 8.5 baby apes but do not yet want to spend the money to chage cables at this point.

Thanks,

The clutch and front brake cables work at stock length. An extension is needed for the throttle # 2120-0251 @ $38.99. The large throttle cable is now installed inside the handlebar. Now you only see two cables, the front brake and the clutch. Eventually, I want to replace those with braided cables. I'm told that wiring the bars internally takes some time, my HD dealer charged me 6 hours of labor for the bar replacement. Is that excessive? Yes, it did cost a lot.

Yup, lotsa fine machines in this thread.

Time to add my own!

1999 FLHRCI, Aztec Orange pearl/Silver Pearl

Found it on line at HOGS4SALE.COM in early 2006. The feller that sold it to me threw in all of the extra stuff that he bought for it. I added it all up later, using the MoCo accessory catalog. Came to over seven grand in extra stuff. The bike had less than 8,000 miles on the clock, and I paid just over $13,000 for it. THAT was a GREAT day.

Anyway, I've been doing small changes in the past 4 years:

Samson Silver Bullet fishtails
Blue dots
Headlight visor
Headlight grille
Windshield bead

Looking for a good Tombstone tail light assembly. If you've got suggestions, let me know!

The bike when I bought it:

Anyway, doing more as I can afford to...

Great looking bike, Cal. The fishtails really make a difference. Is the front end lowered?

Hi all,

Kuryakin makes a tomestone the catch is that eventually the wire vibrate and brake off and you have to take it off and re solder the wires back on and it will happen every 8000 miles so be aware of that. Probably if one siliconed where the wires attach to the circuit board when it was new you'd be good to go.

Thanks, all!

I'll ask Harley about the CVO set-up.

Whiskers:
Front end is stock, rear was dropped 1/2" when I bought it.

So, I think it looks classic. Note the visor & headlight grille, and the bead around the windshield.

Dontcha think this needs a tombstone tail light?
