Also, check your tire repair kits for the green slime can...believe it's another "ticking heat bomb."

Interesting thought. I keep a can of pledge in my saddlebag to clean bugs off the windshield when I travel. How hot does it have to be for this to be a concern? Maybe I'll take it out anyway.

I used to carry a can of inflate a flat in the saddle bag. I kept in in a zip lock bag. Good thing because once it started leaking, I assume from it getting hot in there but it didn't explode.,,,

Back in the day when I smoked I was at Busch Gardens in Virginia and had left one of those djeep fat lighters laying on the dash of the car next to a pack of gum. Well...You can guess what happened...yes, the lighter exploded along with the pack of gum inside my car...I had strings of gum every where...Looked like spider webs all over.

Extreme cold can be a problem, also. I left my first aid kit in a saddlebag over winter in my unheated garage. The cold pack inside (the kind you break and mix the water and the chemical together to create cold) froze. The water froze and broke the bag, releasing the chemical. Anything metal in my saddlebag was corroded....zippers on the first aid kit and on my rain suit were shot, tools were all marred and etched.
