Primary Mechanism Issues...
FYI... These are some 'Primary Mechanism' threads that I am following in THIS Forum (there are MANY other Forums with (too) many similar threads)... Seems to me there is a serious existing/looming/unfolding/future/(possibly re-re-occurring)-problem for (too) many of us...

Here's my take on ALL the issues others have with their bikes....
I have a 2012 FLHTK...it has remaining factory warranty through July of 2014.
After that I have 3 years of ESP.
I ride 30,000 miles per year on average.
So.... that's 150,000 miles in 5 years. Things are going to wear out and break. That's what warranty and ESP are for!
I will ride, enjoy the ride and I may perhaps occassionally have a break down. ESP also covers lodging and food expense ifr more than 100 miles from home. No bgi deal, I guess I might just have to go with the flow and alter my plans at times.

YOU have new bike w/an existing warrantee and good ESP as well as a positive approach and are perhaps a bit more financially fortunate than (too) many who are encountering fairly significant/relatively expensive/unanticipated (possibly re-re-occurring) 'primary mechanism' problems, well under a nominal 30K miles... I and (too) many others wish there was a more positive/definitive prevention/fix... Don't get me wrong, I love to ride my Ultra and HD has done a LOT of things right but this 'primary mechanism' issue is not trivial for (too) many...
