Have 08 FLHTCU< since I put on HG extenders, drag a lil on the left. I dragged the right side w/wife on (2 up), and she smacked me in da head, LOL (180 degree curve). Guess maybe I need to take a better line as this is my 1st harley, had a Valkyrie before this that never dragged.
My JRI's just arrived. 13.25 eye to eye but sit at 12" with sag properly adjusted. We'll see how these affect my dragging when I get a chance to get them on.
Thanks for all the replies. I agree with the comments about line, apex, in slow/out fast, throttle control, etc. This is my first Harley. I'm used to sport bikes on race tracks and sport tourers riding in the mountains.
I'm really enjoying riding at a more moderate speed on the Ultra. But I do find I'm scraping from time to time, even when riding twisties properly. I do lean inside the bike, but I don't hang off. Maybe I'll shift my butt a little more. BTW, dragging a knee is strictly racetrack stuff in my book.
My other bike is a Ducati Hypermotard S. It's a shitty tourer.
Use the proper tool and accept a bikes limitations, I guess.
