Default detached tour pack

Has anyone installed their own detach kit on Electra glide..how much trouble was it?

I didn't have any problems with mine. Follow the instructions and make sure to have the service manual. Here is a thread to follow to do the wiring.

I appreciate that! Did you do that chrome front end too?

I didn't do it, but looking at the service manual I feel confident I could have.

My dealer was having a killer special over the winter. They painted my inner fairing, installed the chrome front end kit with the optional cowbells, installed the air wing caliper covers, and installed the premium Tour Pak hinges for ~$1250. They also picked it up and dropped it off. Good thing because it was snowing out.

I was going to put the quick detach and a single saddle on my new Electra Glide Classic when I took it in for it's first service job. I like the the tour pak for storage so much even for daily riding I've decided to leave it alone for now. Most of my rides are a minimum of 60-100 mile though.
