NO that was just for the lowers and the hardware to assemble them. The mounting hardware you can purchase from Ebay half the price on Ebay, but I had credits from HD so I just got the QD kit from them.
I also got the spring and better bolt and nut for the vents. I think that cost about 6.00.
I bought the unpainted shells from HD, well actually I found them at a yard sale (new in the box). After research I discovered that buying after market speaker boxes and RF speakers cost a small fraction more than the HD glove boxes.
I live in Phoenix and have never taken them off. I just use the highway pegs when it's warm out.
So I contacted Mutazu in regards to the matte black lowers. This is the reply I got back:
To be honest with you, we can't answer that question, we can't confirm how close our Matte Black is to the Harley Demin Black. It should be close enough
Really???? You are marketing a product for a popular HD model in a relatively popular color and you don't know how close the paint match is. Close enough you say? I'm not throwing a hand grenade nor am I playing horse shoes. Just sayin. Not over whelmed with confidence.
I found my vented lowers on Craigslist by pure luck for $200. The guy took them off his 13 ultra and posted them that same day. They are gloss black but my bike is Denim. I'm thinking about spraying them myself with Blitz Black paint or just leaving them as they are. Now i'm just waiting for my speaker boxes and grills to get here to finally install the lower speakers. I'd Keep searching Craigslist, you just never know what you might find for you or if you found something your buddies were looking for.
Thanks for all of the input. Ive been checking Craigslist for about 7-8 months with no luck. For the limited amount I plan to have them mounted...I am not opposed to a "rattle-can" paint job. The Matuzu's look pretty good in the ads. Just havent had any "hands on " experience with them....hence the post.
I went for the Matuzu's because of price 240 shipped with locking glove boxes and mounting hardware. The mounting hardware sucks, it was a low quality and was missing about half the screws, some of the bolts they sent were metric, and the nuts SAE, went to hardware store and bought nuts & screws. The right one fits very loose on the bar, I used some of their packing foam to wrap the bar, fits better, still slides a little, the left one fits great. had to ride home from work in the rain (light rain) a couple weeks ago, closed the vents and was surprised that I had dry feet when I got home. If I were doing it again, I would shell out the money for the HD ones, but these work.
