I went to gas station and filled my FLHX with 87 octane gas instead of 93 octane. I had about half a tank when I did this.
It seems to be running rough now. Only has 4200 miles on it.
Will this screw up my bike?
Should I put some octane booster in it? (if so, what kind?)
Any help appreciated...THANKS!
Siphon the gas out into a container for use in your lawn mower. You might even get a little buzz doin it! Then fill the tank with the desired octane rated fuel. No more stressing over the engine being harmed by inadequate octane rating...
Just ride it. Don't lug it, avoid stop-and-go, and if you hear pinging, back off. Hell, it's an excuse to go enjoy another few hundred miles...go ride!

Running what you have shouldn't be a problem, but the above is a good idea if you are really worried.
