Picked up a gallon of diesel once by mistake. Put it in the lawn mower. What a project. Drain everything. Clean plug. Flush tank with gas. Still can't figure how I pumped from the diesel pump. Brain fart for sure.
It's all over man, get your shotgun and take your bike out back behind theshed and put her down like a rabid dog. Then go to the nearest HD dealer andget a new ride. Don't forget to get the 5 yr wrong octane warranty it's only$29.95/mth.
It's obvious that some people don't fully appreciate the magnitude of octane selection. You may now be riding a ticking time bomb my friend. The safest choice would be to offer it to an "expendable" friend or associate for a ride in the country.
Also, if you plan travel north of the border, be aware of the little known Canadian tire air danger. As it's compressed in a metric state it does not blend well with our tire air. All the rules of expansion and contraction just fly out the window on this one. Let your conscious be your guide.
Best advice so far.
I don't want that commie canadian air in my tires.
I might have to start listening to Rush or Gordon Lightfoot if that happens...
A stock TC has a compression ratio of less than 9:1. You DO NOT need to run anything but regular gas. The only reason for high octane is to prevent detonation from high combustion pressures and pre-ignition. Unless you have some serious engine work your wasting your money and the bike will carbon up quicker with the slower burning high octane gas.
