Default shock help

I have an 09 ultra classic, my wife had back surgery in march,,she isn't ready to ride yet but hopefully soon,,,is there a replacement shock for my ultra that would smooth out some of the hard bumps when she is ready to ride again,,

For bad backs I recommend the HD Hammock Rider and Passenger seat.
It really helps mine.

I have the 944 on my Road King but it is lowered 1" front and back.

They have a number of choices.

+1 on motorcyclemetal. Ohlins. JRI. Probably two top contenders but pricey. I have JRI and they are great.

Ohlins from Motorcycle Metal. Do a search, as there's plenty of feedback on them. I've had the #2-3 on my bike for almost four years and they made a major difference in the bike's control and ride quality. Had the stock 12" low-profile (bad) and Progressive 440 12½" (better) installed before the Ohlins (best).
