Put HD Premium Adjustables on mine, HUGE improvement. They come on CVO bikes for a reason.

I'm cheap and went with Progressive 940s. While an improvement over stock I may be getting Ohlins or JRI in the future?

That's what I went with also. Night & Day difference in ride quality compared to the air shocks.

I'm sure I've got to be due for rear shocks soon, so this thread has sparked an interest, but I have no clue ref shocks. For those with experience on the matter what do these various options run in price? Is installation an easy do-it-yourself ('09 Road King here)?

Thanks

I started with the stock 12" SG shocks, went to Progressive 940's for 25,000 miles (used lighter springs), then JRI-B for 1300 miles, then I changed the oil in some HD 13" air ride shocks and got the best ride yet. Went with 11 oz of Amsoil 10w suspension fluid and 8 lbs of air. Awesome ride.
