I understand comfortable riding and control. I have a 10 Ultra, 12 RGC and a 12 RGC CVO. I have 22k, 8K and 7K on them respectfully.
I am 6'3" and 220 lbs. The bikes ride and and handle well. I see no need to spend any amount of money for replacement suspension. I have taken them loaded on all types of roads. I set the air shocks for 50 psi and have not even looked into adjusting the type that came on the CVO.
They are comfortable, and handle any road condition that I encountered from rough back roads to the super slab.
I've ran stock , Progressive 940's , Ricor , Ohlins & JRi ----- I did not care for the Ricor , the 940's were a lot better than stock ($500-$550 range) , the Ohlins were a lot better than the 940's ($750-$775 range) and the JRi B's were slightly better than the Ohlins ($750-$775 range) my 2 cents
I just run the stock HD air shocks.. Went from 13 to 12 inch for the looks and cant notice any difference in ride at all. Im never sure what everyone complains about with these... I never bottom out, bike tracks really well, smooth over every surface and infinitely adjustable for changing loads... What more do you want/need? I paid under $100 for a take off set of SG shocks. I think sometimes that we just need to change stuff for the sake of change.

YEP!!!!! I don't understand. Then again, I am not a 300lb. feller either.
+1 on changing shock oil. Changed mine to 10 weight oil a short time ago and wife and I both happier. Also changed front forks to 10 weight as well. Now run 15lbs air in rear 2- up, loaded and rides great.
