I just picked up an 06 E.Glide and I do not feel safe when I corner. It has a big plush factory seat so I was thinking maybe I am sitting too forward. IDK. Any thoughts or experiences?

Depending on what model you are used to riding, they can seem a little bulky for a little while, until you get used to it. I had a VTX 1300 when I bought mine, and I didn't feel as comfortable right away, but after one month of riding, and going back to the Other bike, the old one felt more top heavy, and much harder to do a U turn. No doubt the EG Classic is much more stable in slow speed maneuvers than a cruiser. It is possible that there is a problem with your suspension, air pressure in the tires, stem bearing, etc. Maybe you just need a little more time in the seat, and you will get more comfortable with it. Good Luck, and enjoy the new toy.
Take a look at your tires ..are they worn? Is the rear one worn flat in the middle not round? When i got rid of my worn Dunlops and got Metzelers the bike takes corners like a dream now.
Remember never use your front brake in a slow turn it will go.down ..use clutch and rear brake. Best of luck enjoy your new scooter!!
I just had the bike serviced by a master HD mechanic and I put new metzlers on. It made a big difference because the old tires were dry rotted but I still feel unstable. I rented an 09 street glide last year and I whipped it around like a dirt bike. Does the frame change make that much of a difference between the two?
I have an 06, and have ridden the now frame a number of times, I personally don't see much of a difference. The tour pak may be the difference in the feel between the EGC and the street glide, it does change the way the bike feels and is balanced.
Check the air pressure in the shocks (I run 16 PSI one up and 22 PSI 2 up) Only use a low volume pump like the one HD sells.
Check your tire pressures. I run 36 up front, and 40 in the rear.
Fork oil is due at 50K, I just did mine with the SE Heavy, and it made a big positive difference in how the bike handles.
How many miles on your ride?
