Dont worry, you will get used to it. I went from a sporty to my limited, took me a week or 2 to get used to the fairing and weight, now I whip it around like nothing and I am a small guy. Good luck.

Try adding some more air to the front tire. If mine gets down to 35 lbs, I can feel a huge difference in slow speed steering. Like the tire doesn't want to respond quickly enough. I run 40-42 lbs in mine. 5 lbs of air makes a significant difference.
