Default Brake pads

I have a 2011 ultra limited with 16000 miles as I am riding to Sturgis 4000 miles round trip I am replacing the tires . How many miles should I expect out of my brake pads. Thanks

All depends how much you use them. Check their thickness.

brake = thing you stop with
break = not working, broken

My last 2 bikes I traded in had 50,000 km's on them and had the original brake pads. That's about 30,000 miles, so my guess would be you're okay for awhile.

Brake pads are cheap. If you're concerned, swap them out. Don't let some little thing like that wander around in the back of your head when you're on a fun trip! No way of knowing how many miles you'll get because no one but you know's how you ride. Some people allegedly get 20k on a rear tire. I get about 11....

I just replaced both sets on the front of my Ultra. They were shot at 15K. Rears still look like new.

just put 2 tires on my 11 ..18 ,000 plus. had pads in my bag. indy said no need to change it.look like thrid wear out. but if you fill unsecure change it .mrfuji

If your getting tires I'd change the back pads. Next to nothing for the labor and better to be safe and save some money in the near future. I've got 17,000 on mine and they are showing some wear so I'm having them replaced as I'm getting tires also.

Like others have said, replace them. Check those bearings while your at it.
