Why all the guessing here? The minimum brake pad should be replaced if the friction pad is 0.04 in or less (1 mm). Always replace both pads in a caliper as a set. Personally when I replace one set on the front wheel, I replace both in the two front calipers.

Everyone's brake pads wear differently depending on your riding style, habits, and locations. Many freeway miles will have less wear than city riding.

The rear pads wear a lot quicker - maybe 20K. If you are swapping out the rear tire then too easy to do it now. (I would)

The front are good for 30K plus.

I've got 14k on the road king, front brakes seem like they are wearing down, the first grip on the lever they work, a lot better on the second, looked about half wore down when I pur the Monotubes on. Will probably go ahead and replace them soon.

BRAKE pad wear and miles on them is as individual as the shape of you nose. Are you a fast stopper, do you ride the brake, do you only use your fronts, do yo only use your rears, do you ride mostly highways or around town, are yo a big fat heavy person with a big fat heavy passenger towing a trailer or are you a skinny little runt who rides solo with only a cell phone? So many variable that miles alone is no indicator . INSPECTING them is the only way to know if they are in need of replacement. If you like to **** away your money then just replace them for peace of mind. Also in my opinion you cannot go wrong with the Lyndall products in comparison to stock at least on my model year bike, 2004. You 2011 with Brembos may be different.
