Maybe this has been brought up before. What's up with the condensation in the gauges?
Mine started with the Air gauge first for the longest time and now it's starting in the Gas gauge. Doesn't matter if I take the bike out for a ride or not. The moisture doesn't quite go all away but still leaves moisture/white residue behind the glass. Why is it only on these two?!
I know, "forget about it and ride!"
I have seen this on other Touring models. I know some or most of you have this issue. Do any of you have a cure for this (while the other half forgets about it and rides)?? Maybe remove the Fairing and drill a small hole in the base of each gauge to allow some air? Probably make it worse.
It's just one of those things, you forget about it until you look down and then it's stuck in your mind until something else changes your mind again. It's just weird....or maybe it's just me.............
They are not a completely sealed gauge. They do a respectable job, but they are not perfect. Eventually all will see it some shape or form.
Have seen posts on the topic before.
My 07 had it and it would be gone after enough time in the sun. My 12 has yet to experience it, but the day will come when I have owned the bike long enough. Just ride and ignore, unless its bad enough to warrant replacement.
Its just one of those things you have to live with bro, mine is a 11 limited and does it sometimes. After a bit in the sun, it clears right up. Guess the road gremlins need someplace to ****, so they pee in your gages
Wait til you get a bug inside...
Dunno if it grew in there, but it's there. Dead moth, laying at bottom of the gauge face. It kinda rolls around, depending on how aggressive I ride. Amusing to see it there, and ponder how/when/where/why...

That's funny right there...I don't care who you are.
Pony that's the only excuse that I've heard that makes any sense to me on a 20k + Harley. Good day!!
bought a new softail in 92 and had a spider living in the speedo, he would come out almost every time i rode it, man he lived alot longer than i ever would have thought.
