Default Trottle sticking...

JUST started to notice that my throttle is a little 'sticky'... It springs-back Ok but acts just a little sticky going on... Wonder if this is something that YOU have experienced/diagnosed and if/what lube (or not) might be appropriate...

2009 FLHTCU (HD Contour heated grips)

Since I think yours is a "fly by wire" throttle, like mine, I'm also interested in hearing about lubing the grip. White Lithium grease is what I've always used on the grip on other bikes but they had cables. I lubed the cables with a cable lube.

I don't think the TBW's need to be lubed. I could be wrong on that one. Did you put new grips on? If you did maybe in to tight into the housing? Loosen clamp housing and slide throttle tube out about 1mm and then tighten again see if you get the stickeys.

YUP...TBW, no cables exterior to lube, hence my question/dilemma... The grips are HD 'Contour' heated... The 'stickiness' started recently... Sometimes adding any lube to certain mechanisms actually does more harm... Not sure in this case... I will try to loosen but suspect the mechanism at the base of the grip/basis of the TBW (may be worn)... Not sure of anything at this point... Operates OK otherwise and will keep an eye on it... Heads-up...

Mine stuck and the dealer fixed it 5 minutes. It's just the parts rubbing against each other. I do not know what lub they used.

Same problem, hand gets tired when twisting the throttle just a little whlle cruising. I noticed that if I pushed forward on the grip that it isn't sticking. I've spraved different lubes into it to no avail , and just now tried silicone to see if it works. I'll report back any improvement.
