I just put on a heavy breather, screamin eagle race tuner . with fat cats 2-1, with wrapped baffles. Coming up to 1,0000 miles noticed a chamge.....there louder. Question 1) why am I hearing a loud winding sound in 5th gear and I'm shifting aground 55 into 5th then when I shifting into 6th aroind.65 it goes away and has a nice deep rumble. Question 2).im looking to change out, the cams. Anyone out Therenotice a substantial difference in sound? I'm really looking for a really deep rumble when taking off and thru all greats..

5th Gear is cut differently than the others, it will always sound different than the other gears. You'll get used to it, try using heavier gear oil ... it may help some.
The purpose of the a lobe on a camshaft is to open and close an intake or exhaust valve. The shape and location of the lobe of the shaft determines when the valve opens, how high it lifts, when it closes, and how rapidly the valve movement takes place. All this will change the air intake through your engine so that alone will change the sound too.
