Loosen the Torque clamp on the slip-ons and rotate the muffler in the direction you want to center it. Example: right muffler turn counter clockwise to move it away from the fender and clockwise to move it closer. Do this with two bolts tightened on the Rubber Grommet hanger otherwise it will not make any difference. this will be easier than loosening everything on the front of the exhaust system. Also doing this on a lift would make it more accurate but not necessary.
It's never been dropped. Good call on a slightly rotation though, I don't need much so that might work. Not trying to be spooled tight ( lol) but with a 4.5in muffler the gap isn't that big so when it's off it's noticeable.

Ah, perhaps there are those who know exactly what CFR mufflers are, but I am not one of them. With the REST of the information the reason for the concern becomes obvious. Hope you discover an easy fix.
I rotated the mufflers as suggested and the are perfect now. Thanks for the good info as always. Maybe I didn't have them hanging true to begin with and that was my problem all along.
