last month or so bike has been running worse everytime i ride it seems like, started out as hesitation on take off, well thats still there at times but now the decel pop is gotten lot worse. yesterday its stating to pop and even backfired once taking off at red light. and i have to downshift to accelerate smoothly while criusing or it just sputters and falls on its face for about 5 sec and then clears up little bit but still doesnt take off like it shoould. normally i can roll on it @70 in 6th and pass with ease, i had to drop to th just to get around car. i changed plugs again and checked my map on the PC5 to make sure it was right one. it runs pretty good in cool morning air. i have auto tuner that should be here today and hope it hels but im thinking its more than just tuning now. maybe fuel filter needs changed? any input guys?
yea gonna do that tonight to see if it helps, ive been through 3 tanks this week and al diff stations so hard to know if it is bad where i picked it up.
If all of this started on the same tank of gas, bad gas is my guess. Throw some seafoam or HEET in the red bottle in it ,shoud take care of it. Good luck man.
Could be a bad spark plug too. Cracked porcelain. Heat would make the problem erratic.
didnt even think about that.thanks. i have some seafoam at home, ill throw it in and pull the plugs and check them. had to say on gas i filled upo and then topped off after about 70 miles then ran it outand filled up but the driving condidtions changed. its fine cruisin, it city type driving.
my first thought was that you had the o2 sensors hooked up backwards. but then i read that you have a pc5. if i remember correctly, that bypasses the o2 sensors completely. try taking the pc5 out of the equation completely and see if the performance changes, if it doesn't, then you have at least eliminated that as a possiblity. then plugs and fuel.
