I have the same sickness!!!! Wether it's cars, trucks, scoots, guns, whatever. I can't leave anything 'stock' & when I'm done modding it I get rid of it. I researched this scenario a bit & it is actually a sickness. It's a form of OCD!!!!! The 48 in my avatar I had for about 1 year & sank almost $18K in it then sold it for $9,500 so be prepared to take a massive hit!
If you find a cure for the disease, please let me know.
You first need to realize your hobby is also about the process of customizing and modifications. I've seen it often that once that process is pretty much done with some people, they need to start over and over until you realize what part of it gives you a rise. I found that many who are like that do not have a lot of miles on their bikes, that the mod process is the part about motorcycling that gives them their rush....It's interesting.
I think we all have some form of that same sickness. My problem was that I was keeping the old ones too. Well not really my problem but the wife had a problem with it when I got to 4. Had to get rid of the EG when I got the SESG.

This was true w/my last bike. Only put 1,600 miles on it. Spent all my free time modding it instead of riding it. Stupid!
Suggestion: Just repaint your current bike chrome yellow.
The reason I suggest th
is is several years ago I was bored with my bike. I had it set-up the way I wanted, but felt the itch to get something else. It finally dawned on me that what I wanted was my bike in a different color. So I looked at different colors and had the bike repainted in HOK candy apple red and HD sunglo for the tinted clear coat. No more interest in another bike.
