Default What is wrong with me?!?

It seams like every time I get a bike set up to where it fits me perfectly, and the mod list is done, I get this burning desire to trade it and start again.

I LOVE my bike, but the itch has started once again. I think I have some sort of mental disability,LOL.

I am really wanting a 2012 chrome yellow RGC. AGGHHHHHH! I know if I scratch this itch, not only will my wife kill me, but in 2-3 years, it will all start again.

Why fight it? If you can handle the costs, then go for it! I see no problem with enjoying the process and experiencing different bikes. It really is about affording that hobby...

I have a reputation for basically doing that, and I think it is unfounded. Since when are we supposed to have the bike for eternity? The buy/sell and mod's are all part of the fun for some people. You probably have other things that other people would never keep as long as you have...

If you can't afford to have multiple bikes, then you have to go through them one at a time!

Better if you can parlay one into the other, but unlikely, as there is generally no profit in this ...hobby.

No profit, but a whole hell of a lot of fun.
Good enough for me.
Go for it !

Couldn't have said it better myself. The only cure is not going into the HD shop or coming on HDForums!!

There's also something to be said for those who keep, maintain and ride their older bikes. I have allot of respect for those guys ... or gals.

But if you just can't help yourself ... sign here!!

Don't fight it. You'll only make it worse. Give in to the force. Once shark fever sets in there is only one cure.

If that's what your heart desires and funds permit, I'd go for it, after all you can't take it with you and there's no cool harley wheelchair club out there....and take your wife with you, the harley bug hasn't bit her yet!!!....

Its just a simple case of your desires over riding your wallets common sence.
Just what does the “New” bike have that your current one doesn’t? Does the coast of upgrading your current bike to these “New” additions out weight the $$$ for a new bike?
Anything wrong with the current one?

PS; I’m having the same problem. 2005 Ultra with 40K miles, stage 3 motor, paid for, and still looks like new.

DuraGlide speaks the truth...there is only one cure for the shark bite.

I was facing impending doom myself, last fall after a RGU test ride. My wife was not amused when I spoke of a trade in to get a CVO RGC.

So, I...found the loophole, and did a conversion.

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...with-pics.html

Not only did it scratch the mod itch, but it's the bike I wanted too.

Like the others have said, if you find a cure, spread the word. We all have the sickness!
