Default Bars Crooked?

Michelle says I'm cockeyed, but I swear the handle bars don't line up quite straight. Looks like they are set partially to the left. It ain't much, but enough to drive me crazy if I think about it. Can anyone tell me what the procedure is to realign them?

If you think the bars are pushed to far to one side take out the headlight and you will see a 5/16 nut just at the front of the narcell cover. Remove that and you can remove the trim piece that covers the seam in the narcell. Then pry up the cover over the fork lock to expose the two screw underneath. If you takeoff the block shaped cover you will see the four bolts that clamp on the handlebars. Theyare held on with a 1/4"allen bolts. Be careful putting the seam cover on. Don't overtighten the little nut or you'll break the stud off the trim piece. Hope this helps.

Mine are the same way. I found a procedure a while back. I'll have to see if I can find it again. Hell, ride it up here and we'll figure 'em both out at once. Two heads and four hands can't hurt.

No big deal, just turn to left or right and give it a twist in the dirrection you want it to move too. These are set into rubber bushings and they get off sometimes.

I had the same problem with a Low Rider. Swore it was bent forks or handle bars. when I got my Ultra in 2000, it also had the same problem. Then one day at lunch during a group ride, the person that wasriding behind me asked why I sit crooked in the saddle. Sure as hell the problem is my back and the way I sit on the seat. Noticed I sit that way in my truck as well.
