CB quit
CB does not transmit or receive. Radio cuts out when I try to send and at times going down interstate as if some trucker is transmitting.
Volume is fine. All wiring seems good.
I contacted Iron Cross Audio who informed me the CB is an external module on top of the radio and they do NOT work on them.
Anyone got experience on who to contract that could fix it?
Do you think any CB repair shop could work on it or do I need someone who is experienced with HD radio/CB?
It does not sound to me like you have much understanding of how to troubleshoot your issue, so I would suggest that you take it to a dealer and let them take a stab at it. Most dealers will probably shotgun the problem and start replacing the antenna, then the feedline, then the CB module itself. That's what they do. That will cost you money.
It's hard to determine what is going on based on how you have described your problem and more so what you haven't described.
You say it won't transmit or receive, but you also say the volume is fine. That is contradictory. You need to be specific about what is going on if you expect some accurate feedback to a potential problem. How do you know it does not transmit? Have you measured output power with the appropriate connectors and meters? Is there no transmit indicator on your display when in transmitting? Are you aware you need a microphone to transmit audio? You can transmit a dead carrier without a mic, but what good is that?
Some alledged CB problems may not be problems at all...but pilot error. You need to ensure that the squelch is adjusted properly, that the receive audio is adjusted properly. You should know that when you push the tx button, the FM stereo audio will be muted. You should know that when the CB receiver is opened by another CB signal, it will mute the FM stereo audio.
If you don't have the equipment or knowledge to troubleshoot the issue, then you should take it to someone who does. And that does not mean a CB shop. It would be extremely rare that any of those CB piddler guys would have experience on this kind of unit, much less adapters for the TNC connector used on the rear of the cb module.
These modules, at least in my 2010, are made by the Midland Corporation for HD. Midland has been making chicken band radios for years, along with a line of vhf/uhf commercial grade transceivers.
Get some help with your problem. You need some basic knowledge beyond motorcycle mechanics to chase down your issues if in fact there is something wrong with the module, feedline, antenna, ptt button, the wiring harness associated with the cb, etc.
This description does not really make sense or give enough of a description of what you mean. Can you give a little more detail?

Have you looked on eBay. There is one for sale from a 2007 for $99. Still hard to tell what you are describing but that is a lot cheaper than trying to get yours repaired.
