As for stability, rock solid. My other lifts(Handy, HF) would slide when you rolled up on it. The $299 HF looks tippy to the front due to center of gravity when partially lifted but I have no experience to speak from. The one I had was a scissor style instead of a parallelogram.
You sir have a serious amount of extra cash on-hand to be able to put together a setup like that. Let me give you my routing # so I can help you with some of that residual $. Damn that is fricken nice!!

We got one at work. I put my Ultra up on it. It's pretty nice. Not something you could do alone though. There are 4 U-bolts that come up from the deck for tie downs that aren't shown in the picture. The wheel chock isn't its finest feature. I'd reengineer it if it was mine. Overall it's pretty decent.

Ha, right. Thanks tho, been planning for this quite a while. Lift was $1600 shipped from bestautoequipment.com and about $200 for lumber/cement/tool rental and another $100 for the diamond plate. Not that bad really for as much as I use it. Some guys spend more on a riding lawnmower. I dont hunt, fish, golf, go to ball games etc. This is it. And I do all my own maint, tire changes and such. Wife's bike, daughters bike, buddies bikes ....ends up paying for itself.

Clean out with a leafblower or a shop vac. Probably anchor down at some point but it doesnt need it.

Sorry, didnt mean to hijack the thread.

Did some digging and came up with these pics. This is the HF lift like the one I had. If you can still get one it's worth the extra few bucks. I used a 20% cupon and picked it up at the store. worked flawlessly for 2 years and comes with a better wheel clamp.

They had 2 models like that. 496363 and 340479. Looks like both are discontinued...

I have no experience with HF lift, But I did purchase this lift and I am very happy with the quality, very sturdy. The only thing lacking on this lift is the wheel vise, it does do the job but could be a little better, have to use straps anyway so not a big deal. Overall I definitely would purchase this again. It is nice to have your bike at eye level for maintenance and cleaning.

Very nice unit. Especially at that price.

Just a side note: If you think you'll ever put it in the floor, your going to lose some height, 7-8", so plan ahead. The K&L is 41-42 raised/8" lowered. My HF wouldve only been 25" if set in the floor. Only reason I upgraded. Drop outs on both ends are a nice bonus. Ranger RML750 HD is another nice unit for the price, 48" i think, and air/hyd.

Not sure I bought mine in December, they were running a different special. I got the lift, wheel vise, center jack-which is a great accessory, and a roller plate for rear wheel-which I have not used yet.

Mine came in yesterday and is now set up. Question for the guys that also bought the condor type wheel chalk, did you drill holes to secure it to the lift or just set it there and use the weight of the bike to keep it in place?
Thinking I'm going to drill about four holes to secure it and cut the ends of the table to fit the chalks left and right bar that keeps it stable so it fits on the table.
