The one on my 07 was only accurate in the shade. The one on my 08 works just fine (did they change something?) out on the road except in the early evening when it is really slow to drop.
Well, I kinda like mine, completely accurate or not. When it hits 40 I know I'd better be putting on some more layers right away or else....Up here in Alberia (Alberta) I can get pretty wrapped up in the moment and get hypotheremic doing it. My $.02.

Hey Guys everyone is entitled to an Opinion , just cause his stinks no need to sink to his level and Rant it only feeds the his fire ...
Those that have these little fancy gauges know that if you ride in the sun orpark in the sun the inside of the fairing will be hotter than on the external parts of the bike, just like parking yor car with windows rolled up .
But, the bright side of this is that several of the smarter members have suggested that when you are inside the fairing locate the sensor for the offending instrument and place it outside the bike where it can get a better air temp reading.
Actaully I think my comments suck but, I am tryiing to get into the next catagoryabove "prospect " >
Cheers and Ride Safe !!!!

I know my temperature gauge on my SG is wrong....I knew the first time I even looked at it. I also know that the digital temp gauges in my wife's car and my truck are wrong. If I really wanted to know the temperature accurately, I would have bought a weather station. Personally, if it bothered me, I'd move the sensor and get back to riding. But I've been eyeing that space for something else anyway.
I have heard that the sensor has been relocated on the "08 models.
Anyone with an '08 know where they put it? Maybe if you have a manual you could take a look rather than taking the fairing apart.
I just like reading these comments, makes me smile and think wow my life isn't so bad, plus the ambient air temp is on the rise which translates to I get to RIDE!!!!!
