just back from daytona
spent the afternoon yesterday at destination daytona ,the rossmayer dealership ,and it is very impressive .
they now have added a separate building with triumph and ducati they got the new 1028.
plus for the show they have almost every bike builder i never heard of.
arlen ness is at this spot also at the ducati place,
the hotel is about 2 blocks long,or is it a condo?/
and on the parking lot they have parked the big rigs from all the part makers ,etc....
i have no idea where they expect people to park when the influx gets here .
great bbq pork at the corner just as you enter or try to,they blocked all entrances .........
checked some hotels and availability is ok ,seems like prices may come down.who knows /
meanwhile,today after i went to daytona proper and the preparations are on going ,the hd dealership is getting ready for the influx and are importing a ton of mechanics to do whatever ,no apoointment needed ,just show up.
but the tents and the exhibits that used to be across from hd at the park are not there .i guess they are at destination daytona ??
and ,corbin ,is now about 500 yards tot he east of dest,dayt. on us1 . smaller,much smaller place .
a must see are the old bikes at the bmw dealer .
and some of the incredible machines at destination daytona.
may decide not to come back next week since tmw i am heading south to miami and will do this again.
