Default user friendly riders backrest

my wife prefers not to have a backrest between us as we ride. on my metric it was an easy deal to pull it out for a 2 up ride and to reinstall.

how do the HD backrests work? is the cable oper better than the manual? can you easily-quickly remove them?

They both are very easy to remove for your passenger. I have the manual one, a buddy has the cable operated one. Neither of our wifes can stand to ride with them in place either. They bothcome off in a matter of seconds.

I have never had the need (or desire) to adjust mine, and I don't think my buddy has adjusted his since he got over the newness of it and stopped playing with it.
